NPTC VISION STATEMENT
Working together: protecting and promoting the shared interests of our member First Nations; enhancing Treaty & Aboriginal rights to thrive; developing healthy and prosperous communities; and enjoying sustainable livelihood within our vast traditional territories. (Note: Our shared interests include: personal well-being; self-sufficiency and elimination of poverty; self-government as determined by the respective First Nations; and internal capacity development)
NPTC MISSION STATEMENT
We address issues, resolve problems, share information and deliver programs and projects to achieve efficiencies by working together as Chiefs, Councilors and Elders and by engaging our first nation members. (Note: Projects and programs require the formal approval of participating member First Nations) We provide a political forum to gather information, influence policy and decision making by external governments and by industry which impact our member First Nations. We provide resources and support to member First Nations for professional advisory services and facilitate flow-through funding for other specified programs. (Note: in accordance with the professional services fund formula) We provide meaningful employment for our First Nation members in accordance with our organizational needs and available funding.

We communicate openly and honestly. We treat people with dignity, respect, understanding, and fairness. We are accountable and transparent in fulfilling our duties and responsibilities. We seek cultural guidance from our Elders and maintain cultural awareness in the performance of our duties. We are united and flexible in how we work together. We adhere to our By-laws and Policies.
