The goals of the Fire Safety Officer serving the First Nations of the North Peace Tribal council are:
- assist the communities in reducing the number of deaths and severity of injuries to people caused by fires
- reduce the number of fires and the extent of property damage that result from fires
Fire Safety activities include inspections services, fire safety training programs, training of local fire fighters, investigating the cause of fires and maintaining statistic information surrounding fire losses.
The Fire Safety Officer also acts in the advisory role for the maintenance, purchase and development of all fire service related equipment, systems and projects that arise.
